The Mediating effect of work engagement towards job satisfaction

Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate the relation between variable of job crafting, perceived organizational support, and work engagement on job satisfaction using work engagement as a mediator. This study was conducted in directorate of environmental health, ministry of health, republic of Indonesia. Furtrhermore, data for this study was collected by distributing questionnaires via google-form and collected as many as 127 respondents. Data was processed using SEM-PLS 3.0. The results of this study indicated that variable job crafting, perceived organizational support, and work-life balance have an effect on job satisfaction. Work engagement also successfully mediated each independent variable to dependent variable, in terms of job satisfaction. Directorate of environmental health can further increase their employee satisfaction by providing their job crafting, perceived organizational support have also shown to have greatly affect employee job satisfaction, work-life balance also shown to increase employee job satisfaction considering that employee will not be exhausted at work so that the job satisfaction will increase.
