Light Sensor Design as Automatic Street Lighting in the Miniature Education Complex of the Al-Ma'arif NU Foundation

Abstract

Currently, quite a lot of easy and simple things are used for various human work needs. In this case the control system as a scientific discipline that allows the application of automation. In this study using a light sensor as a means of automatically turning on and turning off the lights. The tool used in this study is the LDR Light Sensor. Photoresistor is used as the main tool in this research. then the TIP120 NPN Transistor is a transistor that is often used and used as an automatic switch that connects a microcontroller to components that require high voltages. The end result of this research is an automatic lighting system on the road of the Al-Ma'arif Foundation Education complex which controls lights based on the presence/absence of light from sensors around the lights, which then becomes utomatic. The light will turn on automatically when the sensor gets no light, and vice versa the light will turn off automatically when the sensor gets light.
