A Implementation of Decision Support System Based on Hybrid AHP-SAW Method for Optimizing Tour Package Recommendations in Lombok

This study aims to design and implement a Decision Support System (DSS) using a hybrid method of Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) to recommend the best tour packages in Lombok. The system is developed as a web-based application to provide an efficient, objective, and user-friendly decision-making tool for travelers and tourism operators. The research involves the evaluation of five tour package alternatives based on five key criteria: cost, duration, facilities, number of destinations, and customer testimonials.
AHP is applied to determine the weight of each criterion through pairwise comparisons, resulting in a consistent priority ranking with a consistency ratio (CR) of 0.06. These weights are then used in the SAW method to normalize and score each alternative. The final ranking indicates that Tour Package C is the most recommended, achieving the highest composite score of 0.99999.
The results demonstrate that the AHP-SAW hybrid method enhances the accuracy and reliability of the decision-making process. The system supports dynamic data input, performs automatic calculations, and presents clear recommendations. This approach is particularly beneficial for users with limited analytical skills. Furthermore, the system has the potential to be developed into a commercial platform that can be accessed via web or mobile devices by travel agencies in Lombok.
